Ornamentales del Valle

Ornamentales del Valle is dedicated to the production of leather leafs.

This is a fairly new, rapid –growth business within Grupo Agrolibano. It actually has around 47 hectares, with a continuous expansion plan for up to 120 hectares.

The rapid growth of this business is because our brand Green Mood Ferns is well known in the European market for its consistent quality in color, texture, shelf life, and few spores.

We have accomplished this through our ample experience in agriculture and the incorporation of advanced technology, such as, the automatic application of fertilizers.

Orvasa is currently diversifying itself into the ornamental markets. To gain a competitive advantage, we will produce Tissue Cultured Liners and other sought after plants that are not “normally” produced by Central American producers. The goal is to start exporting Tissue Culture Liners by February of 2004.

Orvasa is also working towards the development of sustainable agricultural practices as an example they have a process they call water harvest were the recycle 60% of the irrigation water doing this they use a lot less diesel and fertilizer on their operation.
